The Berry Amendment (Title 10, Section 2533a of the U.S. Code) requires the Department of Defense to operate with American-made products. Over 40 years ago, skydiver Dennis Bulin had a groundbreaking idea. Inspired by his passion for both skydiving and scuba diving, he wanted to apply the ripcord from his chute to a BCD. After some trial and error, he successfully integrated the same ripcord technology used in skydiving into buoyancy compensators for scuba diving. Consequently, Zeagle was born. Since then, Zeagle has been forging its own path, driven by originality and a relentless commitment to innovation.

In the 1980s, we launched the industry’s first Ripcord Release System. Then, in the ’90s, we patented our Personal Fit System™. Later, we shifted the industry further by focusing on stainless-steel hardware and ballistic materials in our sturdy, workhorse gear.
