At ten years old, JAY RIFFE started spearfishing off the Southern California Coast with a hand spear. By fifteen, he was competing in spearfishing events, and by twenty-two, he became the Pacific Coast Champion. Jay later placed in the Nationals, earning a spot on the World Spearfishing Team and setting three World Records—all with his handcrafted wooden spearguns.

Early on, Jay recognized the need for spearguns that were silent, powerful, accurate, and highly maneuverable. Combining his professional machine tool engineering skills with his passion for spearfishing, he created ergonomically designed, handcrafted teak wood and metal spearguns of unmatched quality and performance.
